Can someone help with bibliography?

My teacher is telling us we need to list the pages used in books in our bibliography however, to my understanding, pages used are required for books, only for magazine and newspaper articles. I even made sure by going to a bibliography generator website and when I tried to do an entry for a book there wasn’t even a fill in part for the pages used.

So I’m pretty confused right now, and I know last week my friend got marked off for not listing her pages she used in her book as well. It doesn’t make sense and we can’t really tell our teacher because she always has a valid reason why she’s right. So in order to get an A I need to put in the pages used, but I don’t know where I should put it in the order of the correct bibliography of a book entry.

Author’s name, last name first, followed by a period. Title underlined, followed by a period. Place of publication, followed by a colon. Publishers name, followed by a comma. Copyright date, followed by a period.

Can someone tell me where the most logical place to put the pages used would be? I just want an A so even if it’s wrong, my teacher won’t bag on me since I’m doing it the way she wants it to be done.

The fact that your teacher is teaching you to do citations incorrectly is really inexcusable. She might as well put her own spin on history as well, or teach you a way she made up for diagramming sentences.
Asking you to put page numbers with your citations of sources from books may serve to make it easier for her to grade, but it does not serve in the best interest of the student. Methods such as these are standardized so that when students move on to their next teacher they are able to use the information in the same way!

For listing page numbers used from a book source, I suggest putting it directly following the year published and period that would normally be the end of a book citation. Be sure to put a period following the page numbers.

(Note: this is what you would do for listing page numbers of an article or essay found in a collection or anthology.)

*Also, I don’t think it is necessary to put "Print", as your source as a book and noting that a source was print is used for denoting article type.

I edited your outline of a citation:

Author’s name, last name first, followed by a period. Title italicized, followed by a period. Place of publication, followed by a colon. Publishers name, followed by a comma. Copyright date, followed by a period. Page numbers (ex. 162-170.). Publication type (in your case "Print.").
