How can a Piper J2 Cubs electrical system be upgraded?
I read an article where some owners have added a wind driven generator to their aircraft. Is there an interior mounted alternative?
NOTE - this is not that son of a (Mike) BEACH.
.
.
SORRY - how can you add an electrical system?

Bolt it to the gear and you’ll have to make the aircraft experimental. Try the EAA, they do this stuff all the time.

J2’s do not have an electrical system, nothing to upgrade.

Not likely you can. The only STC the FAA has listed for the J2 is SA01734SE (Application of Stewart Systems synthetic fabric covering system to aircraft fuselage, wings, tail)

If anyone has done it you would find it at Cub Club https://www.cub-club.com/337s.php#manual just a quick look, there were several 337’s for J3s but not J2’s. Not sure the engine could run a generator or alternator (just kidding, sort of)!
