and a diode rectifier would help too ….. although the mouse will end up doing slightly more work either way, and might get fed-up.

Yep … running 2 …
Yep … running 2 LEDs in parallel, but wired for opposite polarity would catch the reverse pulse too.
Remember to alternate the poles of the magnets …. N,S,N,S all the way round too ….. since it’s the change in magnetic field which generates the voltage.
