I wanna make a magazine. How do I print one?
I wanna start my own magazine. I've already got people to write articles, software to make it, as well interested advertisers. I was curious how do actually print one. Where can I buy the right type of paper, as well as a machine to print it.
Gather your content. Write the articles and, if you want, select images for each article. You can take or draw your own pictures, or search for images licensed with the Creative Commons license online.
You could, for example, make a magazine of your favorite wikiHow articles!
Instead of writing articles, you could write short stories.

Assemble the content. If you are arranging the magazine layout on a computer, you can copy and paste the text and digital images and experiment with font size and image placement until you are happy with the results. If you aren't using a computer, print and cut out the articles and images and arrange them by hand on pieces of paper that are the same size as the magazine pages. Once you are happy with the layout, use double-sided tape to attach the text and images to the page.
Give each page a page number in the lower outer corner.
Don't put content too close to the edges, especially the edge that will be bound.
Put the name of the magazine and the issue date on the upper outer corner of each page.
Print the magazine. On a computer, you can print out each page individually and bind them later. It can be a little tricky printing on both sides of a sheet, so expect to do a little bit of experimenting. Another option is to print onto a piece of paper that can be folded in half, consisting of four magazine pages. The difficult part here will be keeping the pages in order when you layer and fold them together. If you're not using a computer, you can take the sheets that you taped the content onto and bind them into a magazine. However, this can look messy, and over time the corners and edges of each taped-on section will curl and perhaps rip. To overcome this, make copies of each page and use the copies when binding the magazine.
Bind the pages together. There are several options:
Staple individual pages together on the left side. Two or three staples should be sufficient. Put them at least half an inch away from the edges, or else they might not hold the magazine together.
Fold sheets in half and staple them in the middle. You will need to use a long stapler for this.
Use the technique described in How to Bind or Reinforce Books.
