Is there software that can do this?

So I have many pages on my site (all of them pretty much hard-coded). We made some decisions about how they were grouped and now I’d like to know if there is software out there that will allow me to group the pages together based upon what was written in the page (they’re all mostly articles). For example, if I have four articles, investing 101, selecting US stocks to invest in, retirement portfolios, and hedging, I’d want the software to be able to choose investing 101, selecting US stocks, and hedging in one group while having retirement portfolios and hedging in a second different group. Ideally I would like to see something that would allow me to make logical progressions. For example, if I’ve read investing 101, the next logical step would be selecting US stocks in this outline, not hedging. I doubt such a software exists, but I had to ask to see if it’s doable.

Thanks, I appreciate the help! 10 points to the best answer!
I'm usually good with selecting best answers, but if I forget, please don't forget to email me within a few days! Thanks!
Also, I'll choose a best answer after I get a few more answers!

The function you are talking about is called document classification. It is a function of data mining, which is an incredibly complex subject.

There is software that will do this for you, but they are difficult and time consuming to set up and train (they are based on artificial intelligence).

It will probably be easier to classify the documents by hand… unless there are truly massive amounts of data.

There is a free data mining program called RapidMiner, if you want to try it:

You will probably have to download plugins in order to handle document classification.
