i don't think any sites require your credit card before every song you download, but itunes makes you type in a password that activates your card every time to buy a song.

Well, you have mp3fiesta.com.
You have to sign up for free with your email address, they send you a mail and then you can download songs. You have top pay for songs but at registration you get $10 free credit,, that allows you to download 5 cd's or 25 songs or something like that…

Apple iTunes requires you to have a credit card or a gift card at the sign-up. However, you do not have to have it with you all the time because Apple already has it on file.
Amazon also does this. In fact, almost all legit Web sites that allow you to download songs require you to have a credit card once then it will charge it on out as you purchase music.
This is done so that you don't have to get your walllet out every single time you are purchasing an item. It is also done for security. If you keep on putting your credit card and have a virus or spyware, say hello to identity theft.
